The books in the Foundation’s Series are seven novels, written by Issac Asimov. The saga is considered a masterpiece of the sci fiction literature (at least the original trilogy). The story takes place in the future, where mathematician Hari Seldon, using a new science called psychohistory, predicts the fall of the Universe Empire and a lot of years of dark age. Seldon suggests then a plan to reduce the time of dark age, because the fall of the Empire is inevitable.
