Get ready to smash some bricks mate! LEGO - Pirates of the caribbean: Official Trailer

Yeah yeah yeah….another one in the LEGO franchise series of videogames, but you’ve got to admit that it looks interesting. Bearing in mind the awesome job the guys from Telltale games did with the first Indiana Jones a few years ago, I am willing to give this one a shot. Don’t even get me started with the “Batman” fiasco… Anyway, it’s coming on May 10, 2011 for almost every console out there in the market. So prepare your sword, wash up that old eyepatch and feed you parrot for this adventure! Aye aye mate!   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9UGtnXF-tY

Battlefield 3 gameplay video preview

I still remember with great joy that summer… the release of Battlefield 1942. It was a very cool game. We would get together to play it 3 times a week all night, defending the power of the axis, and going to work without sleeping afterwards. Winning almost every game just because of strategy and teamwork, the other team always had the best shooters, but we played the game better as a team. The Leningrad map was just like the movie Enemy at the gates, we gave em hell on Omaha Beach, and suffered on Berlin (until i camped the spawn [...]

Duke Nukem Forever Preview

12 years later… No, it´s not a sequel to 28 days later or 28 weeks later (although that would be cool), it’s all about nostalgia, blood, guns, chicks, and monsters. The Duke is back, baby… Hail to the king!!! Finally, no more delays, bitter dreams and false hopes. We have a release date, a playable copy that is circulating among some videogames reviewers, a teaser trailer. It’s about time, the game has been in development since 1997… Wired News has awarded Duke Nukem Forever its Vaporware Awards several times. The game itself has been shown to relish on the jokes [...]

Hack Wars 1: Sony puts the Scene in check

A few weeks after the hackers community managed to be able to play online with backups in their 3,55 custom firmware, Sony made a move and pushed a 3,56 firmware upgrade. This was designed with  some things in mind: This update installs a rootkit, purpose still unknown for sure (but nothing good comes to mind). If you updated from a CFW, you bricked the console. You can’t downgrade. In theory, you wouldn’t be able to login in the PSN Network But the community stayed online with DNS tricks, without updating. Sony was losing the battle here. But now the japanese [...]

Preview of Dead Island, the latest zombie game

Ok folks, we love zombies, right? We love zombie games, right? This is an awesome trailer, very cinematographic, well thought out. Gory, sensible, black humored and awesome! There’s a controversy now that the trailer is designed to make you bond emotionally because of the little girl… well, duh! Of course! All advertisings are engineered to engage you in some way or another, there is nothing new here… except the good taste of the makers, of course. Dead Island will be available in XBOX360, PS3, and Windows in 2011, and is all about surviving in a tropical island infested with zombies. [...]

Preview screens of Batman: Arkham City

So, finally we have something to drool over from the next release of  Batman Games. Following the acclaimed Arkham Asylum, in fall comes Batman: Arkham City. On XBOX360, PS3, and Windows. It is being developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Comics. [imagebrowser id=1] Like its predecessor, it incorporates elements of stealth and predator tactics. All of the gadgets previously obtained in the first game will be present at the start of Arkham City, some possessing improved or new capabilities. At least two additional gadgets have been revealed: smoke bombs which Batman can use [...]

The Art of Video Games

Geeks of the world Unite and Vote for what you think are the best games of each era.  The Smithsonian will sponsor a showing of video games exploring the different eras of video games history and we are all invited to vote on a series of games which revolved this very young industry. You only need to register and you’ll be able to vote only once per registration, so choose wisely! It’s a shame for us here… living in the ass of the world that these things do not promote in our lands of orcs and choripanes… but at least [...]

A "short" Hunting story...

A “real life” gaming experience converted into a short story of a hunter and his prey. Only for Monster Hunter geeks. :)

World of Warcraft - Ravencrest Private Server

From all the WoW private servers out there which are trying to deliver a good WoW experience, from my perspective, the best one so far is Ravencrest. Based in the Netherlands, these guys who love the game are always trying to make the best effort on delivering the most faithful WoW experience, for free.  Of course, the server has some serious mishaps in some quests, mostly in the Escort quests (which I suggest to directly avoid them) and some short downtimes from time to time, but besides that the server is very good and stable. They have a fixed day [...]
