Well, that’s it!!! I can’t wait any longer… i need to see this movie right now.
The official story goes like this: “Eight years after the events of The Dark Knight, the terrorist leader Bane arrives in Gotham City, pushing it and its police force to their limits, forcing its former hero Batman to resurface after taking the fall for Harvey Dent’s crimes.”
The Dark Knight Rises is the final movie in the trilogy directed by Christopher Nolan, who co-wrote the screenplay with his brother Jonathan Nolan and the story with David S. Goyer, and is a sequel to Batman Begins (2005) and The Dark Knight (2008). It stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, and Morgan Freeman all of them returning from their previous roles. The film will take place eight years after the eve
nts of The Dark Knight and will introduce the characters of Selina Kyle and Bane—portrayed byAnne Hathaway and Tom Hardy, respectively. This film also reunites Inception stars Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Caine, Cillian Murphy and Marion Cotillard.
Nolan was reluctant at first about returning to the series for a third time, but agreed to come back after developing a story with his brother Jonathan and David S. Goyer that he felt would conclude the series on a satisfactory note. The film is loosely based in the Batman comic book series Knightfall (1993), which debuted the villain “Bane”; The Dark Knight Returns (1986), in which Batman returns to Gotham City after a ten-year absence; and No Man’s Land (1999), which depicts a major earthquake hitting Gotham.
Nolan utilized IMAX cameras for much of the filming to optimize the quality of the picture. As with The Dark Knight, viral marketingcampaigns began early during production to help promote the upcoming film. When filming concluded, Warner Bros. refocused its campaign; developing promotional websites, r

Jessica Biel, Gemma Arterton, Kate Mara, Charlotte Riley, and Keira Knightley all auditioned fo
r the role of Selina Kyle. After the initial audition process, Biel and Mara all screen tested. Ultimately, Anne Hathaway won the role.
There was much speculation in the press when Anne Hathaway was announced as Selina Kyle if the actress would actually portray Kyle’s costumed alter-ego, Catwoman. In an interview with Oprah Winfrey following her stint as host of the Academy Awards, Hathaway let slip that her character indeed would don the Catwoman costume. Anne Hathaway, had been cast as Black Cat (Felicia Hardy) in The Amazing Sp
ider-Man in 2010, which at that time was under Sam Raimi’s direction as “Spider-Man 4″ and was going to feature the Vulture and Black Cat. To prepare for her role as Catwoman, Anne Hathaway worked out five days a week on a regime that involved vigorous exercise, stunt training and dancing. She called it her most physically demanding role to date. Hathaway also commented on her distinctive choreographing style: “They’ve given me a martial arts exercise that I have to do all the time to teach me grace and proper stance and fluid movement. It looks so gentle, but when you’re actually doing fight choreography it’s ‘Oh my gosh, that’s actually a block. Oh, I’m hitting somebody’s throat right now’.” Hathaway based her breathing on that of Hedy Lamarr.
According to Gary Oldman, Christopher Nolan told the actors the ending of the film verbally to avoid any leaks.
One of the reasons why Christopher Nolan cast Tom Hardy as Bane was because of his performance in the film RocknRolla. Hardy stated that he thought he was cast because of his role in Bronson. He arrived on set only to learn that Nolan has never even seen Bronson.
The character of Bane in this film is more reverent and closer to his comic-book counterpart, unlike Batman & Robin, which reduced him to a mindless henchman. In the comic Books, Bane is a general, a strategist and a one-man army, literally forcing Batman to meet his match (and upon their first encounter it would turn out to be the case).
According to Christopher Nolan, Bane was chosen as the film’s main antagonist “to test Batman mentally as well as physically.”
To prepare for his role as Bane, Tom Hardy gained 30 pounds in weight, and studied various fighting styles to use in the film.
Tom Hardy described Bane as an absolute terrorist: “He’s brutal, but also incredibly clinical in the fact that he has a result-based and oriented fighting style. The style is heavy-handed, heavy-footed… it’s nasty. It’s not about fighting, it’s about carnage!”
The last line of Gordon’s speech at the beginning of the movie, “I believed in Harvey Dent”, is likely a reference to the Batman comic “The Long Halloween”, wherein the last line is “I believe in Harvey Dent”, spoken by Harvey’s wife, Gilda. It’s also a reference toThe Dark Knight, in which ‘I believe in Harvey Dent’ was Dent’s campaign slogan.
Two years ago, a new era started for movies and Marvel fans, Iron Man was released, the first film made by Marvel Studios independently. At the end of the movie, after the credits, there is a scene where Nick Fury, portrayed by Samuel Jackson, or the first Gangsta Jedi Master, makes his first appearance and teases us with the promise of the future Avengers movie. This would mark the beginning of a continuity, a shared universe or setting, between certain movie projects, that Marvel decided to apply the pompous title of “Marvel Cinematic Universe”. This continuity encompasses the franchises of [...]
