I still remember with great joy that summer… the release of Battlefield 1942. It was a very cool game. We would get together to play it 3 times a week all night, defending the power of the axis, and going to work without sleeping afterwards. 12 years later… No, it´s not a sequel to 28 days later or 28 weeks later (although that would be cool), it’s all about nostalgia, blood, guns, chicks, and monsters. A few weeks after the hackers community managed to be able to play online with backups in their 3,55 custom firmware, Sony made a move and pushed a 3,56 firmware upgrade. This was designed with  some things in mind: This update installs a rootkit, purpose still unknown for sure (but nothing good comes to mind). If you updated from a CFW, you bricked the console. This is really something! I wish my computer had a floppy drive again…. well, not really… but still, this is awesome. This is The Imperial March, by John Williams, the best movies composer of all time, played with the sounds of a floppy drive reading a disk. I don’t know how anyone can do this, please enlighten me… or not. I know this video is dated in 2008, and some of you may have seen it, but i didn’t. And… i’ll post it anyway.

Ahhhhh… the memories… the joy of Tetris… endless hours of suffering, watching bricks fall, hearing “russian” music, and desperately trying to make lines and reach the high score.
